[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Was also wondering if it could be my WiFi signal, but even with ethernet cable plugged directly into 1gbps fibre, it still flickers between DV on/off. Also tried playing around with smooth motion and other display settings...seems to reduce the frequency of flickering, but overall reduction in picture quality which you wouldn't expect from a better than entry-level Hisense. Funny enough it doesn't happen when plugging in the MiBox so probably just crappy Vidaa software.
Yeah strange mine only did it when signal was crap, but it now has a nova plugged into it and the wife is happy with that.

Still impressed when it does scenes like this :). Though hdr10 stuff is dark sometimes :(IMG_20230304_082204.jpg

Hope it get sorted. But don't buy Nosense in the future(don't buy kak). If you want to buy Chinese then at least buy TCL. Very impressed with their TVs.
My Hisense lasted me 6 years before I sold it, still working fantastically well. And I'm sure the CS55 LG is better than my 55-Inch A8G, but absolutely no way it's going to be so much better that the extra 9k it'd have cost me would have been justified.

A few places give it a 5% better review is that worth 45%

SO what I have been told is that the problem with Disney + is on Disney's side and not the TV brands. Apparently, Disney released the app to Samsung first, and once the other brands were supposed to get their turn, Disney pulled the plug and found major bugs/errors and stopped the release, where some TVs and some brands got the wonky Disney + added before they pulled the plug. Not sure how factual this is but it sounds plausible to me, looking at all the issues Disney + is experiencing on PC also.

Hi all, i am thinking about buying the 65inch A8H,
has anybody had any problems of note with this TV,
which i should worry about, except the OS system,
i will be using a media box.
Many thanks.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest....

Its pretty much how I expected it to play out after Disney lumped the MEA market with that Hotstar based garbage.

What is the min/max distance from a 65inch OLED TV to your seating position.
Thanks

I just recently bought a Hisense QLED 55" E7h and finally managed to turn off that motion smoothing most people hate, I think it's what most refer to as bad post processing. Every settings on picture settings with an off option has to be off. Then there's the 'cinema day' and 'cinema night', I prefer the latter as it seems to have blacker blacks and a bit more vivid colours. It's my first smart tv and yes it's not that smart, I think I need to get a tv box, no Disney+ and Netflix doesn't play but it's a good panel.

Can anyone confirm if they have the apple tv+ app and what version of vidaa they are using please?

No Disney+ app, but I am watching via "Browser" and works very well - Captain America: Civil War was enjoyed last night!

Yes there is Apple TV+ - but don't have account so don't know version. Actually not sure how to check App versions.. (will play a bit tonight)..

Watching the "Free" sport weekend on the U7H. Sport does look glorious (but won't upgrade to R1000 pm plan).¡

Also got Amazon Prime via Vodacom last night (R79pm for 4K not bad. Lord of the Rings looks amazing in UHD).

Yes the "black bars" are grey and some cut scenes at the beginning are grey.. But once you get "into" the movie who cares.

Also for TV speakers they are really very good! Lots of bass and very enjoyable. Put volume on 20 and almost jumped on some scary scenes.. :p

Yes OLED would have been better, but this is really not bad. Most series are "full screen" anyways.. Just the movies aspect ratio is cropped.

Oh yes. Running ONLY the TV at 88W with Bluetti EB3A 600W / 268Wh on 1080p and 124W in 4K (at least it easily lasts 2 hour loadshedding)
