[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

How's the 'VIDAA' OS? I was keen to get the U7N, which I thought had Google TV, but I see now it looks like the local stock comes with a different OS.

Anyone with the U8N? What is the experience like? Looking at the 65"
Reviews are good for it, a lot better than the U8H was, but there is apparently still a blooming issue on some and sometimes jittery motion on others. But greatly improved over previous models.
Sadly with Hisense seems you can get a cherry or you could get a lemon, with most things you'll hear more about the lemons than the cherries.

With what remote does the South African U8N come? Also does it have advertisements built in?

Check this out on takealot: Hisense 50" E7N 4K UHD QLED with Quantum Dot Smart TV & Dolby Vision

Bought this yesterday , on FNB day, without any research. Felt like a good deal reading the specs and comparing to others I saw on TAL around the same price point.

To be used in bedroom. Gets delivered today !

Price was R5k. I will get back 15% back in ebucks, so felt like a good deal.

Then now I come this thread , to see if bought the wrong TV !!

Is the e7n pro you guys taking about? Really interested to see how it compares against my 65" oled, even if it is now 4 days old.

DAFAQ you want a TV in the bedroom?

Unless it's for watching porn! ;)

Does anyone have a hisense calibration guide or recommendations for best settings?

Where/how in the settings do I enable upscaling? I got a U7N but can't find anything in the settings menu. Thanks

Okay Hisense really do need to bring more OLEDs out. The A8H being the last seems to suck.
Watching Sisu and the scene where he watches the town on fire is impressive. Plus the underwater scenese the contrasts just okay so well

Reading this statement I am not sure whether you are impressed or disappointed.

I briefly looked at the 85U7N as I want mini-LED but then I remembered that my Hisense TV just bombed out. Third one in 4 years so yeah, I will never buy Hisense (Nonsense lol) again. Look at the TCL 85C755 it's comparible plus it has Android TV and not that rubbish VIDAA. Trying to figure out why we don't get the 85C855 like the rest of the world though as that would be the one to get.

That starts to sound like a user problem not a TV issue. Also you do know they have warranties right? Why didn't you get any of them sorted out with the warranty? It's 5 years

Hisense is 4 years.....36 months plus an extra 12 if you register. I have contacted them many times, got as far as having a date and time for an agent to come to my house but one never has. I should probably go dump it on their doorstep lol. And how is backlights etc failing a user problem??

i have also had backlights failing - and now two years later same symptoms appearing - but they wont fix it with symptoms that the backlight is on it's way out - they will only fix when it stops working and all they say is "fault not found" but it flickers badly after every twenty minutes of playback - that was the first sign of impending trouble the first time around

Did you follow up on the agent? I had them come in and replace a main board over a year ago in December.
But the other 3 Hisenses have had no issues after 11 years for one, 7 years for another and 4 years for the other.
