Personal Firewall Software

Can any of you recommend a worth-while personal firewall solution for a Windows-based system?
I've been asked by a someone for advice, and honestly I've never given as software-based solution much though.

Any suggestions? It doesn't have to be free.

Comodo does get a lot of good press on this site and others so as it is free you have very little to lose.

Yeah, I'm used to configuring firewall appliances rather than software-based solutions, but I think I'll be OK.

I installed and configured Comodo after the initial recommendation, considering I'll probably be the one getting all the "support calls" when the SHTF, and I must say, it's not half bad and I reckon it will do the trick.

Not my cup of tea, but not bad.
