Personalising number plates?

I have seen some cool ones.

so what do you think of it?

is it a show off or what? :rolleyes:
 
Some of them are clever - If R2000 - R7000 isn't much to you - then I don't see why you shouldn't do it.

I wanted S2000 WP - but it was taken :(
 
Only thing i like about them, if a guy with a personalised plate drives like crap, I will most certainly remember them if i see them on the road again.

Otherwise they lame.
 
saw a ferarri in cape town last weekend, the F430 Scuderia, and his license plate was Scuderia I straight outa italy
 
My I've got several favourites but the most memorable one is 4U2NV which I once saw in Cape Town. I hate it though when a crappy car has personalised number plate, an absolute waste of money IMO.
 
Its lost its appeal these days, my favourite was "sexy ne":p
I had personalised plates with my name, people would greet you and youll wonder who they are:p Takes a while to register that it was your name on your numberplate!
 
The orthodontist my wife went to had 2TH-MAN GP on his yellow 911

Around these parts people aren't creative. You see a lot of THUMI XX, SELLO XX, SHADRACK XX, etc.

I saw that car this weekend! haha... Think it was a Golf V (not 100% sure)
 
There was a M5 in fourways with "VEE TEN GP" i though that was nice:D
 
I've seen a few humorous plates around town, one of them being STOLEN EC. The local council's secretary has his nose stuck firmly up his butt though, his reads METRO S EC.

Yep that's the one although I don't know why anyone would envy a Golf5 since half of South Africa seems to owns one.:D It just beats a white Tazz:D
 
Agreed. I would only put personalised plates on a high end car (like R650 000 upwards). I think custom plates on a golf or tazz just looks dumb
 
I have a personalized plate, I won't tell you lot though! Itz a clever one, I always get comments about it...I dunno why I got it though, it was a spur of the moment thing and luckily I actually thought it thru first.

Best one I've seen ever is NE14A69 GP :D lol!

when you apply for your plate they ask what it means...no obscene plates allowed...so clearly he didn't explain clearly! hehe.
