Any recommendations? Would like to get insurance for our German Shepherd pup.

I use Rogz pet insurance. Limits are not fantastic but it pays well

How young is your pup? Hollard is quite good. Try them. They provide cover for cats and dogs who are between 8 weeks and 8 years at the time of commencement of cover.

I have Medipet for both dogs. I have only claimed once. I put in the claim on 13 Jan 2019. I have not had a response since then aside from an autogenerated email telling me that they re-opened on 9 January.

So far: not impressed.

If you insure your pet and it gets stolen do they give you a replacement?

Why, whats their deal? I ony ask cos the chip lady gave me their brochure
Who, Onepet?

I ended up winning an ombudsman case against them because they lied repeatedly in writing and did not adhere to their stated terms and conditions.

yeah them, cool will steer clear

I'm with dotsure, and so far it's been amazing. You log claims online, and I've been paid within 3 days for every claim I've put in. Most of them within 1 day tbh.

Meh. Says nothing about discount for satellite tracking, free peticures or getting a loan pet when Fifi goes to pet hospital. Plus no cash-back or Coastal option.

The regulator seriously needs to look into this, we need Prescribed Minimum Benefits on all pet insurance.

recently adopted a kitten and was thinking of getting her some pet insurance
considering her recent vaccination at 3 moths came to R450 rand and she is due her sterilisation soon also ( covered by adoption company)
who would you recommend from
