Petrol Reimbursement

I get R2.92 for any size engine but if I go over 8000km per year I am taxed on ALL 8000 plus KM at once.

I get around R2.90 or whatever the AA rate is now. I think that the reimbursement rate is between you and your employer, and there is nothing that can force them to pay you the AA rate, which is the rate that most companies usually use.

As for the tax, you can claim it back when you file your tax return for mileage up to and including 8000 km.

You guys getting over R4 per km. Where do you work? Wouldn't mind being paid to drive. I have a 3500cc engine... Company doesn't pay petrol.

You're being ripped off. Check the AA website, take those figures to your employer and sourt it out...

I would like to find out, if you are given a fuel and maintenance card by your company and they don't add it the amount that you use to your payslip what can the tax man do to them?? Legally

Why would it go on your payslip?

The card is directly covered by the company and therefore a direct expense to them.

Has nothing to do with you or your payslip.

I think he meant a allowance for the payments of the car . Normally this allowance does not cover wear and tear on vehicle

I got paid for 11Km/L tweaked the engine a bit and got 20Km/l. In your face Fuel claim.
