Cats are a serious problem. Cat colony's are uncontrollable. They annihilate ecosystems of their animal and insect populations. Their diseases are harmful to both endangered animal species (such as otters) and human children.

Just laugh at any environmentalist / tree hugging cat owners for the hypocrites they are.

Imagine the title had been - Landowner shoots rats with .22. Or - Landowner poisons rats with pain inducing poison.

Cats are major problems on farms and small holdings....


They breed quickly, going from a pet to a nuisance to a pest in a short time. Lots of farmers keep cats, however they will cull any wild cats as soon as they see them.

If a cat is wild btw, I doubt the spca will be able to catch it. They will also shoot it and it is well within your right to exterminate pests on your own property.
