Hi

I'm trying to get the latest release of pfSense to install and work on Hyper-V (2008 R2 Standard, 64bit).

It bombs out on installation to the virtual hard drive, whether I do it with easy config or manual installation.

Anybody done an install successfully so far?

Regards

Haven't installed it myself. But did you add legacy network adapters and not standard network adapters? Linux really dislikes the standard adapters

Nah. Just won't work.

It stops when initializing the virtual hard drive, and stops solid. You have to restart the vm host in order to be able to edit settings again.

Fun.

Bleh, will discard it as option.

nvm re read OP

I stand to correction but I don't think Hyper-V supports any *nix based operating systems, its one of the reasons we went the VMWare route. Can anyone clarify?
