Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

Anyone made a T bone or rump steak in an airfryer , medium rear but fat crispy?

In an oven it always come out dry and undercoooked on outside, so I usually just pan fry or braai.
If there is one thing that shouldn't be made in an airfryer, it is steak. It comes out wrong. Dont even attempt because you will waste a good piece of meat.

NO, because this is not 'Merica ... here we take wood and turn it into coals

Steak in a airfryer is just NO, NO, NO

Dry and under cooked on outside? That doesn't make sense. Unless you tried to bake it like a cake in the oven?
You grill/broil it under the top grill as close as possible, it works just like your braai, just from the top.

Oh damn those things cause a lot of smoke, I bought one and tried to make pork chops on it, Before i knew it the whole thing was ingulfed in flames from the pork fat and i legit almost burned my apartment down. I picked it up and tried to run outside to throw it over the balcony but i was completely naked so I had to think fast. I turned around and threw it in the shower and turned the water on. One of the biggest scares of my life.

You can but you’ll ultimately always want to still flash it in the pan so you may as well just do it all there and butter it up nicer.

Unless it’s super thick, then reverse sear low and slow.

And if it’s super thick you should have a thermometer really.

30%er/loose method. Just git gud and get yourself a decent thermometer and learn to use it properly (in fact, I have more than one to perform the double check):

I already spent all my life savings on an airfrer. I am not forking out another R400 for a thermo.
