Do you have a philips or some fongkong?Try reading the post in its entirety before rambling on, I have one, its a forum, we all have opinions and I shared mine. Thats it.
Why would I want to buy an old one?Says the guy that had to buy a new one in less than 4 years?
Chefs usually serve multiple people, why would they use an airfryer when it isnt big enough to serve a restaurant of 200?Yet not a single good chef in the world would suggest making good food in an air fryer?
There are some things that works great, and things that does not work so great. I still use oil (coconut or olive) or melted butter on things like potato, sweet potato, carrots etc. I cook them with the chicken and put them in the bottom of the drawer so they get all this nice juices.I guess it suits some people, a basic food like frozen chips comes out dry and shrivelled, crumbed foods dont have that crunch result. If you like the taste of food and not just convenience then an Airfryer whether Philips or not is not for you.
Save your money dont fall for the hype or FOMO. The price of the largest airfryer is almost the same of a new oven which can be used to cook many other things, will last a really long time. When an oven is used correctly and with care, it rarely needs heavy cleaning.
A standard sized airfryer is not big enough to prepare for 3 people in one go.
I've got a Philips, it is now confined to back of the kitchen cupboard.
Thats my experience.
But each to their own.
Chefs seldom make food at home.Yet not a single good chef in the world would suggest making good food in an air fryer?
Need the XXL for 3-4 people. Specially if the family is fat and eat like pigs.ard sized airfryer is not big enough to prepare for 3 people in one go.
I did an experiment with my MasterChef nonstick pan and the spray canola oil with some fish fingers, have to say they were superior to airfyer fish fingers if you want something that has less oil.Air fryers are overrated.
The guy in the link sums it up pretty well.
Yeah, pan fry and airfry is the best for me. Steak Panfry. Chicken Airfry.I did an experiment with my MasterChef nonstick pan and the spray canola oil with some fish fingers, have to say they were superior to airfyer fish fingers if you want something that has less oil.
LOL proper chefs don't work at Mcdonalds. They work at good restaurants and every meal is cooked separately.Chefs usually serve multiple people, why would they use an airfryer when it isnt big enough to serve a restaurant of 200?
We are discussing how to cook the best tasting food, not whether its cooked at home or restaurant.Chefs seldom make food at home.
Yeah coz at Mcdonalds the patty, burger bun, fries are all cooked together in one oven and not separately.LOL proper chefs don't work at Mcdonalds. They work at good restaurants and every meal is cooked separately.
One thing is that most think an airfryer is just to cook chips and chicken. There is a sh*t load more you can cook. There are some things that works great, and things that does not work so great. I still use oil (coconut or olive) or melted butter on things like potato, sweet potato, carrots etc. I cook them with the chicken and put them in the bottom of the drawer so they get all this nice juices.
LOL do you think your patty is cooked when you stride in there and order a cheese burger or they fry a little bit of chips fresh just for you?Yeah coz at Mcdonalds the patty, burger bun, fries are all cooked together in one oven and not separately.![]()
It's more a case of what we eat. Chicken and salad and some veggies 90% of the time. One thing is that most think an airfryer is just to cook chips and chicken. There is a sh*t load more you can cook.
I dont eat Mcdonalds so i wouldn't know. I make my own food at home in my Philips airfryer.LOL do you think your patty is cooked when you stride in there and order a cheese burger or they fry a little bit of chips fresh just for you?
Just like Tim Cook won't tell people to go out and buy an Android phone...Yet not a single good chef in the world would suggest making good food in an air fryer?
