I think there's something going on at Standard Bank as well.

Just used Online Banking, but can't get one-time passwords on my phone, cos Online Banking has reverted back to an old phone number I used. I checked this when I went into Profile settings. Now I'm totally screwed. :(

*I have changed my phone number a few months ago and have not yet received a reply from Standard Bank Online support when I emailed them about this.

Standard Bank's one time password is dodgy right now. They can't get them out and are blaming Vodacom, MTN and Cell-C. When I asked their helpdesk why I managed to get the logon notification without a problem, she tried to tell me that the one time password is sent via a "Secure SMS", and is "different" to the logon notification. Yeah, it's different all right - it still works.

I'm glad they had the balls to put a notice up on their website warning that they are having trouble with it, although it would be more accurate if they admitted that the OTPs are not going through rather than claiming that they are experiencing delays.

It gets my blood boiling when they think they can just lie to you as they please...
