Phishing con trick goes mobile

Hunt them down along with the email spammers!
 
This sounds like a near incident I had last week. I can't recall the reference cellphone number but I received an annoying mms from an unknown number requesting I download 'Security Update #12' on my Motorola. Either due to Vodacom or my cellphone settings it kept failing on the download message part (I disabled auto-download as a precautionary measure ages ago). The irritating part was that despite deleting the message, the server kept resending it periodically for a couple of days. It would be nice if the Cellphone Services Providers made a convenient way to manage this sort of message online. If I want a message to stop being sent to me or to block a specific number from sending messages to me, I should be able to do - don't you think?
