Phishing Tips: Keep yourself safe

Matthew Tagg, CEO of Web Africa, says consumers need to become more aware of the three big signs that an email is seeking to pilfer their personal information.

In the case of a phishing attack, the address will be very different to that of the organisation it's supposed to come from.

I think this is a dangerous 'tip' to give, especially for not very compute literate people.

Phisher's sometimes make the address look quite or very similar to the real domain. By following this advice, a user might mouse over the link and think that the (similar) URL must be the correct one, and therefore trusts it = eish!
