Phone does not ring but voicemail SMS is received

It happens more and more lately that I get a SMS which says I have a new voice message. Meanwhile the phone was on, had signal etc. First I thought it was the Nokia N8 phone but now I have an iPhone5 and still this is happening!

I had this finally resolved last week.

Before calling them, call your number. Make sure it is not someone else's voicemail(I had that fun added to your problem)

Then when calling, hope you get Bongani, that helped me, or one of his co-workers that also listened, in training.

They had 2 voicemails loaded on my account.
There was another problem on their system too..

It took 6 calls and 5 dozing co-worker, before I got helped...

I have the same problem. People who try calling me tell me that it doesn't even go to voicemail, it does nothing, just silence.

I have same problem, phone is on, but no ring, the guy calling says it want to voice mail straight.
