howzit - i sell phones. i'd like to take her out and show her the latest models in phone technology.
Thanks, at last someone who's serious about the matterThanks for your comments. I read in the other thread that you purchased one. Still happy with it?
goto www.gsmarena.com and compare the phones.. great overview of specs and features on all phones.
So it's good for listening to music, Mxit, playing games, smsing and general phone use like Calling (of course) and setting an alarm, etc?
A phone is a personal thing. She will use it for years, potentially, so it's important for her to have one she likes. The solution is to ask her. At that age, she probably has a good idea of what she wants and may resent a bad choice. We are getting a phone for my daughter's 17th birthday. She always just got hand-me-downs. Which phone would she like. We're considering the following ones. We're die-hard Nokia fans, but came across one I think she'll really like, but don't know anything about LG phones...
1. Nokia 5000
2. Nokia 3500 Classic
3. Nokia 7210 Supernova
4. LG KS360 Chatterbox
If anyone can give me info/pros/cons on these phones I would greatly appreciate it.
from her last 5 dialed numbers, at least one should be a close female friendUnfortunately I don't have access to them![]()
Does the KS360 come with a 1GB memory card? I'll be getting it on the Vodacom Family TopUp 135 for her.
mine came with a memory card, i thought they came with a card, maybe you should check on that Mr Libs.
She's 17... for a few weeks the phone will keep her happy, then it's back to boys and THEIR toys![]()

Yeah get your wife to get the best friends numbers under pretence of getting some other info.
I have ordered the KS360 and am hoping to pick it up later today.
To those of you that wondered, it's a suprise for her birthday, so I don't want to ask her, but did sneak in a Vodacom pamphlet the other day and chatted about how cool phones are etc. and she wasn't interested in any of the Nokia phones and said the LG KS360 is soooo cool (and also some or another Sony Ericson that I can't get for "free").
She's a happy go lucky child and I think she'll appreciate whatever she gets in any case.
Uhm... I am the wifeI'm actually the step mom!
