I received a message allegedly from Telkom thanking me for continued service. I can claim an award of a Samsung S9 by completing a questionaire about telkom and paying R30 for courier cost
This has a scammy smell?
 
:ROFL::laugh::ROFL: I just mentioned yesterday that I dont understand how people are still asking questions about these CLEAR scams on the forum.

That said, this is clearly legit. I received my phone.

Old people dude.... Old people....
And uneducated ones in the sense of Phishing and Vishing and all other flavours of gaining personal information.

why would completing a questionaire on Telkom and paying one dollar get you a phone? Come on, this sounds dodgy

That excuse I can actually understand. But if the OP has the minimum tech knowledge to be a registered member here, there is no excuse irrespective of his age.

Knowledge is power. Telkom needs customer data through the survey. And couriers are not free. Its the least he can pay for a brand new phone.

You are too sceptical. I just got payment of 900 000 000$ from the England Bank of Wales. All I had to do was pay for the transfer fees and the lawyers who did the transfer. Good things do happen to good people you know.

This is similar to logging into FB and Insta and all those other places. I'm not disagreeing with you though, it happens.
