Hi,

I want to quickly edit a photo, take away the red eyes and make an mirror image of it.

I don't have Photo Shop or Corel Draw. What can I use?

Paint.net or the gimp if you enjoy stabbing yourself in the eye.

Google's picasa is decent for simple touching up- like removing red-eye. Not sure if it'll mirror something though. [After you, bwana]
Dont know either - I'm still basking in the glory of the tag team that is Photoshop CS3 and Aperture.

I'd rather scoop my eye out with a cracked wooden spoon than use gimp.

TBH, don't know either of them too well either. :o paint.net is supposed to be quite nice. I sometimes use the gimp at home but it is, um, a little tricky to pick up if you're new, and somewhat like poking a skewer up your nose.

Trying out Photoshop CS3 at the moment. Its not at all like poking a skewer up your nose. Next step is to persuade boss that it is a necessary upgrade.

If your not using it as a serious graphic designer, rather fork out for Paint Shop Pro.

Can't find that mirror thing on Picasa, will have a look at the others.
Found this tip online so ymmv but you can flip an image horizontally using CTRL+SHIFT+H and vertically with CTRL+SHIFT+V

EDIT - can confirm it works.
