Anyone able to recommend something to add effects?

Not borders or text - but like one touch lomo effect, high key, orton, analogue, tilt shift etc?

Yes I can recommend stuff but what software do you have?

Lightroom, Photoshop, Bibble, DPP, Capture One?

I have Photoshop Elements 10 and it's got some effects.

After this post, I found software (can't remember the name) which is ideal - but is $20.00. I may end up buying it - but I wanted a free alternative, as I'll use 3 or 4 effects at most.

In the end I used this http://easyphotoeffects.com/ which is free and has limited efects, BUT it has the analogue effect (http://easyphotoeffects.com/analogica.php) I want ... which goes pretty nicely with some band photos (my post on the gig section has an example)

LOL ....

Yea - as I say, I preferred free - but I'll need to do it :p

With the R/$ where it is now, it's quite inexpensive ....

EDIT : Here iot is http://www.smartphotoeditor.com/ ...from the makers of Portrait Professional

Lightroom and Preset Heaven (www.presetheaven.com) :D

What still gets me, is that we spend a small fortune on the top of the line DSLR and the f2.8 glass, only to slap a "lomo" or "holga" filter effect on the final image :D

Thanks.

Bought Smart Photo Editor (http://www.smartphotoeditor.com/), but only use 2 or 3 effects ... a little silly :/ I'll start exploring others and trying out different photos too. The main effect I use is on some free program I used.

I think filters/effects on some photos add hugely to them. I know the band stuff without looks pretty boring and they just add a mood that is sometimes lacking ... .especially if the band doesn't make use of lights etc

It has to be Lightroom! And you are in luck you can now download the version 4 trial and "effect" all the photos you want!
