Could just cover the camera with a rain cover and use a rubber band to make sure the seal at the front of the lens is extra snug?

I thought they only bothered making those for Nikons. (Its fun to watch nikonians scurry for shelter when they feel a drop of two of rain. )

What are you interested in? Sport, Landscape, portraits?

And where are you situated. No use suggesting an event in Pretoria and you are in Cape Town.

Once you find out what type of photography you really like, you will start following websites, Facebook pages etc... of said events and you will soon find great spots or events.
