Photoshop gets patch for two critical security flaws

Adobe has released a patch for Photoshop Creative Cloud to fix two critical security vulnerabilities.

The vulnerabilities impact Photoshop CC 2018 v19.1.5 and earlier, and Photoshop CC 2017 v18.1.5 and earlier, on Windows and MacOS.

The moderately large blue update button or the notifications that pop up saying e.g. XD CC is ready to update don't notify you? ;p

Haven't opened it in a week, so have some waiting.

Do you have OS notifications disabled for apps?
It is annoying that you have to manually click update rather than that you can set it to update itself in the background, but hopefully they're getting there. Most Adobe apps have become substantially smaller since the reworks.

I'm not sure how you expect the app to notify you if it isn't running...

Simple. Adobe has numerous background programs and services running (in forground and background).
A daily/hourly/whatever check for an update is a piece of p*ss.

It does do that if you have creative cloud running in the system tray though.
