Photoshop / Gimp help

Hey guys and girls

Need some help, I want to put a logo on a car.
So I have the photo of the car and I have the logo.

What would be the best solution or process on PS or Gimp?

Would greatly appreciate the help and advice

IIRC, Distortion Map:

Open the car photo, desaturate, save as car-map.psd

Open the logo, separate it from any background (like white) in its own layer. Filters -Distort-10%. Choose car-map.psd. Copy car colour photo onto layer beneath logo.

This is a simple technique from memory so don't crucify if it doesn't work.

Displacement map?

Filters > Distort > Displace…

EDIT - and I'm not sure I'd go through all the effort. Usually a layer blending mode on it's on could produce good results.
