Hi guys,

I took close to 200 pictures yesterday at the VWS Open Day.
I want to resize those pictures to 50% of their original size (I do this with all my photos)
How do I do that in photoshop?

Basically, open, resize to 50% and save.

Normally, I open 1 at a time in a program called "firehand ember" and resize it one at a time, it's generally ok, but it's on certain events that I take WAY too many pictures and it will take forever... so I want to find a way to do this 'automated'

Oh, I used 2 different cameras, so the sizes are 'different' which is why I want to do '50%' resize.

Create an action to resize then automate the action you created either as a batch or as a droplet.

Or just use picasa to export the batch.

I'd export to a specific size (depending on where you're exporting) rather than as a percentage. Keeps the photos uniformed. for example if I'm exporting for someone to post on facebook 603 pixels is the optimal size.

Ye, just open the actions window and record while you re-size one of the photos, then just use that action when you do the batch.

You can also use ImageMagick from imagemagick.org and then use the "mogrify" command in a FOR loop at the command line.

i am not sure what verison of photoshop u have but u can do this in cs4:

File->Scripts
Scripts->Image Processor
Image Processor
