I prefer Audio Books actually.
I tried ebooks for a while, works well for fiction but I found technical books harder to read (graphs etc) on eBook unless they were intentionally adjusted for the format.
Kindle for travel all the way !
Physical books. Nothing better than the feel of the paper in your hand.
Nerds are weirdWhy do people like smelling paper?
Mostly the same, depending on the technical book. If I am going to have several open while I am working or there are diagrams involved then I prefer real books.Technical, Reference or Instructive/Study type non-fiction - Physical book.
Lots of photo's or images - Physical book
Everything else - ebook
Industry would like to prevent it but for now Calibre has solved that problem. So sorry for the industry, until someone convinces me that this problem has been TOTALLY solved, e-books is just a pipe dream and I will not invest in anything but a printed copy again.
Reading for relaxing has to be physical. Programming guides etc I buy the e- book. When programming I'm on the pc anyway so might as well have the doc open on the second screen and reference there.
I'm pretty much the opposite for these. I'd much rather hold a light electronic reader for long periods and recipe books are the last thing I'd want in electronic form.Recipe books are digital, everything else is physical.
I don't know. Books have a particular smell. I also like the smell of engines. Why do people like smelling paper?
