Pi record broken by software whiz using desktop PC

Pi, the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, kicks off with 3.14159... in a string whose digits are [-]believed[/-] proven never to repeat or end.

I also broke the pie record, 5 steak and kidney, 7 pepper steaks, 3 ham and cheese pies. I also know what is the last pie- it's chicken.

Lol.

But yeah that is quite a feat. The programming has to be so, efficient, for a lack of a better word.

Hmmm I wonder if he ate pie while calculating pie?

I wonder if the guy who coined the name "pi" has any regrets. He literally gave birth to half the bad puns in history:D.

Guess it wasn't done on windows then :D

LOL imagin, he gets halfway through and...... BSOD!

"It is a completely standard PC. The only unusual thing is that it has five 1.5-terabyte hard disks. Mainstream PCs generally have only one 1-terabyte disk."
1st world PCs

But why? 2.7 trillion decimal places. What for?

With so much free time on his hands, he should rather have done something useful.

I also don't understand the fascination with pi. A prominent local girls' school in PMB has "pi day" on 14 March () every year. Students enter and the one who knows the "most pi" wins R10 for every digit. Then they all eat pie (har har har) and reminisce about previous pi days..

Maybe I'm just a bit sour because I went to a prominent PMB boys school where things were a little different:erm:

EDIT: 14 March = 3/14 (hilarious, I know:D)
