Ironically it requires the Government to let you... (Talking about seeing it as currency rather than an asset)No the idea is for BTC to replace fiat money.
If you are a trader and want to cash out a small amount of profits , then this is a very convenient way to do it.As a crypto minner ,and a crypto why would spend btc to buy groceries at pick n pay. The whole idea is hodle whatever you have and purchase more btc. Very stupid to do that
And then what...you just sit hodling your whole life and never enjoy the rewards? There is no 'whole idea'. If I can take some staking or masternode rewards and spend them easily - yeah of course I'm going to do that. I don't need to take my crypto to the grave with me. I'd rather enjoy some of it.As a crypto minner ,and a crypto why would spend btc to buy groceries at pick n pay. The whole idea is hodle whatever you have and purchase more btc. Have fun working for your groceries plebb.Hmm who wouldve thought.
You get something from nothing in Pick n Pay.
Effectively Bitcoin is nothing more than a pyramid scheme. It needs money to exist, or to have value. There is nothing physical PnP gets in return. It's basically money for nothing.

Unstoppable Domains:We bought a loaf of bread from Pick n Pay with Bitcoin — and it just worked
MyBroadband tested paying with Bitcoin at Pick n Pay in Centurion Mall by purchasing a loaf of bread, and it worked flawlessly.
Pick n Pay has partnered with Electrum and CryptoConvert to enable Bitcoin payments at 39 stores throughout South Africa.
Not just a case of holding your phone further away so it doesn't trigger Gpay?I tried this yesterday and it didn't work for me. I used the CryptoQR to scan the QR code at check out, but instead of opening my Lightning wallet after scanning the code, the payment immediately went off my Google Wallet linked FNB card.
As there is no setting available to configure this it is not possible to have GPay/Google Wallet with your bank card as default contactless payment method if you plan to use this CryptoQR to pay with Bitcoin. You need to disable your Google Wallet payment method first.
