I have the previous gen 1.4 Diesel and yes I do have a maintenance plan (which is about to end)
I've driven the new 1.4 though which is why I could comment about it

How is the new 1.4? I'm going to try give it a test drive today

True, I don't think their cars have ever been bad, I've owned 2 many moons ago, only reason I won't buy one again is cause you cannot get rid of them once you have one, lts like having a Volvo

I got a Demo 2015 Honda Ballade with Extended Service Plan to 7 years 135 000Km for 215K. That was just before the Rand tanked. Very happy with the car so var. Enough car for the amount paid. Will reach the KM before the 7 year mark.

I've never had one, but saw the station wagon Clio in Istanbul recently and I would love one of those!

I have a friend that has a Renault Megane (second one) and he has had no issues with either.

But as you say, selling it is an issue.
