First time I heard the name and I love it. I've just picked names for my many children that may or may not come. I have a few other favourite names but nothing too extreme. Boy - Madeon/Damian. Girl - Addison/Khalistra/Calista (Jessica was an option before one entered the picture)

Bone up on your Greek mythology, madam. Calisto (I assume Calista comes from there) was one of Zeus's squeezes.

Whether a name is common or not isn't that important, right? That line of thinking is how you end with celebrity kid names

In all honesty, just give the kid something functional that won't get him \ her teased too much.

Just something a little less common than Jack, Piet, Etc.

For our son "Archer" - It was the wifes suggestion too... and after that couldn't think of any other names that we liked.
Daughter we just thought of random names until we settled on one. We did kind of decide early on that we wanted her initial to be "G" which is the same as me (my mom and dad have the same initials, and my dads shortened name has the same initial as my grandad and grandmom, so thats where that came from)
