That's a tall order to start with... :)
Google for Callisto. She's a low-poly model made for Quake, good practice if its for your first model...

I'll post some links for blueprints and stuff... (From back in my 3D days... )
...when I get home sometime tonight.

You made that ?

Holy crap, either that program is very easy or you're damn tallented

Eish :o

Should have read the whole thing :D

But who ever made that...... pretty awesome :)

lol. He's looking for a simular blueprint...
But the best will be to take a normal female blueprint, and draw a few custom details on it

okay thanks for the help so far,,, i been playing around with strip modelling,,,
Strip modelling can be seen very well here (http://www.vimeo.com/1442570) if u want to watch the whole thing, it goes part by part. (Part 6 switches to a program called mudbox, it is similar but edits already made models)

im gonna check out that creature plug in, but i dont think it will be effective in creating a life like model,,,, anyway, minimum of front and side view is required, so im still hunting for some pictures

thanks alot, i look forward to it :D

How's your drawing skills? :D
It's a needed skill to have when 3D Modeling, practice makes perfect. The upside to having great drawing skills, is that you can tweak and modify blueprints of caracters to suite the need. The better your blueprint, the easier you'll model.

Paul Steed has a great method for modling, it takes longer to set up your blueprints, but it is so worth it. See if you can find some of his books. (eBooks).
Also, start with Low-Polly models. There are a few skills to learn about optimizing and movement that has to be learned, and when those are under the foot... your hig-res models will look better and be easier to use.

my drawing skills of animated characters,,, like wow / guild wars type characters, is well pretty good imo, take me a long time to do faces and that,,,, but when i model ill look and C what needs improving,
i used to model on blender, but i was told 3ds max is better

Just keep in mind. It's not a criminal offense to play around on a riped version of 3D Max, but when you're going commercial...that's a different story. That's why I'm converting from 3D Max to blender... (I just don't have the cash for 3D max)

3D Max, if you can program your own plugins, becomes extremely powerful. Oh, how I miss it. :) There's just not a lot of Free (Or by any means affordable) plug ins that I could find.

Here are the long awaited links:

If you don't find what you need. I'll try to help you out. (Adding details, making it unique..ect..)
I have a pencil, paper and a scanner 1m away. :D

Theres a program that the folk on Deviant Art use, its called Poser Rendersity - LINK

They have a few mesh stuff & some decent models to work with.

Hope this helps!

Cheers & goodluck!
