I can point you in the direction of people that use yeast from a woman's special place to bake. I bet it would make beer?

It's doable, but don't expect a stronk drink.

I've experimented with bread yeast to make beer
to see what it does during fermentation and what the end product would be.
It reached an abv of around 1%. I also had a control test (same mash/ ingredients and conditions) but added ale yeast, which yielded 4%-5% abv.

Can't remember exact numbers now; it was a couple of years ago.

Normal baking (bread yeast) will convert the sugars into alcohol, up to a point, but after that point is reached, the yeast struggles digesting and dies off quickly. So it's not very efficient at producing alcohol.

Other byproducts of the fermentation process gives it a different flavour profile (might give it an odd taste or smell), as well as a cloudier look.

Lockdown: Make your own homemade pineapple beer using three ingredients

Bottle stores are closed during lockdown, but we have a healthier alternative to normal beer, and you can make it at home.
