Pineapple Insurance

Yeah it sucks that they do this, But the insurance board/ombudsman or whoever signed off on this "law" a few years back so now insurance companies are saving themselves money by doing this.

But I would still rather get second hand parts if the work is done right than wait 3+ months while waiting for genuine parts. (Haval and Chery I am looking at you)
Sorry , what law did they sign off on

No, and you should place a formal objection on record.

In doing so, they have to respond.

Based on their follow-up response, you can decide whether you want to lodge a dispute.
How do you make a formal objection on record, send them an email?

A pot hole bent the axle?

Either the Sandero is a bigger PoS than even I suspected it was or you are a very bad driver.

Or both...

I'm assuming you guys conflate new and used and OEM and Pirate.

Surely no insurer fits a 2nd hand used part during a repair.

All parts will be new.

Some will be OEM others 'Aftermarket or Pirate or non genuine'..

But there is no such thing as Renault shocks, or Renault brake pads or Renault tyre's.

I have been trying to cancel a policy with Pineapple. Palesa has been giving me the silent treatment and the bots keep giving me generic responses around features that don’t exist. There is no uninsure button on the app. And no call centre to call. Naked is a far more mature and easier to use offering. It will probably take me going to ombud for short term insurance to get my refunds as I am now double paying having now gone to Naked Insurance.

Stop the debit order. Problem solved.
