ping from 200 to 400

since the starting of this mount my ping has doubled in cs 1.6!
i know you must be saying im crazy to play with 200 ping but rather that than to play alone in a south africa server!
so does anybody know what is going on with the ping??
my ping also double in the local servers!
i have a 4mb adsl line with a telkom router!
plz help it realy important to me!

Got an IP address that we can ping to see if we're also experiencing higher latency than normal?

What type of access are you using (SAIX shaped, SAIX unshaped, IS Fibre Semi-shaped, etc.)?

I'm not going to answer for the simple reason that you posted this in two different sections :eek: :mad:

its mweb how can i check this???
maybe i can give you my ip! where do i find it?
 
Well, if your ISP is Mweb I guess that means you are on SAIX shaped.

What is the name / IP address of the CS server that you are connecting to?

Oh and froot is right - don't double post. You're less likely to be helped. Post once and be patient.

WELL I ANT NO COMPUTER PRO OR SOMTHING BUT I KNOW HOW TO CHANGE MY IP!

PLEASE CAN SOME 1 JUST TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY PING AND WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX IT!
 
SOME 1 JUST TOLD ME TO Ping your defualt gateway 196.25.1.1 SO I DID IT!
AND THE TIME = 90 + WHAT IS THIS???:confused::confused::confused:

It's responses like that, that make people not want to help you.

Calm down and be patient.
 
shazaad, none of those IP addresses matter when it comes to determining the problem.

I've asked you for the name (or IP address) of the server that you connect to (the one you used to get a 200ms ping to but now get a 400ms ping to), NOT YOUR IP address. If you give me that, I can test to see what kind of latency I get, and hopefully someone else on here with a SAIX shaped account like yours can also test it for you.

the little button on the left below the tab key, its called "Caps Lock", you see it, yes, push it and make sure the little green light on the right goes off. Now type, see, no more uppercase, its very rude to shout at everyone, just a hint should you require help in the future, use it don't use it :)
