Hi All

I have been having trouble getting Pingtest.net to work lately. I start the test fine, but after it runs for a bit it says a server is blocking my connection so it connot work out my packet loss. Using a Huawei 1820 modem on a Netgear MBRN3000 router and 5 gig Cell C bundle. It used to work just fine. Any help?

Have tried pingtest.net a few times over the last week or so and I keep getting this same error about half way through the test.

"Packet Loss Test Error - Couldn't connect to the test server. A firewall could be blocking the connection or the server might be having some issues. Please try again later"

Also using a 1820 but on a Trendnet 655BR3G.

Hi Cell_C

I stay in Solheim, Germiston. I can access SpeedTest fine and get between 6 and 7 mb/s download and around 1.5 mb/s upload consistently.

Same here

Speedtest.net gives me a ping of ~60ms, pingtest gives a packet lost test error
Using firefox

Neotel works fine on the same pc.

This has been happing with me since march, November - Feb, it was able to get pingtest.net results and played online games happily...ever since March its a fail... no ping no on line games!

Please post a solution if cell c has found one?

It does seem as if something changed within the Cell C network in Feb. Up until then Pingtest worked and there was full access to PSN and XBL (nat completely open).

You can better try to check the ping of your connection at Whoisxy.com/ping.aspx you can reset the Modem once and try it.
