Pissed OFF!!!

We are investigating the booster top-up which is limited to a subset of accounts. Our systems guys won't sleep until it is fixed.
Additionally, when a booster is purchased the subscriber is not automatically unthrottled. We are implementing a fix for this problem but in the mean time if you reauthenticate , you will be unthrottled.
Sincere apologies for any inconvenience.

@ Nefertiti.

Oh, ok, so not a policy decision...

To be honest, not sure. If it is a policy decision its from mweb's side and not iburst's side. Im getting conflicting messages and at this point am too tired to sort it out. At least I have the bandwith I should have and wont have to worry about buying for a while, otherwise I would have ditched both Mweb and Iburst by now.

True. iBurst boosters are R49/39 per GB. Compared to before it's a good deal, compared to R14 and R22 per GB on ADSL it is still a rip off.

I had the same problem so I ended up spending 12mins and 20 seconds on the phone in order to top up. This is bullsh*t.

iBurst should put its money where its mouth is and do the honourable thing. Whenever there is a problem with the booster website, they should unthrottled the capped connection. A customer, should NEVER, ever get stuck in a situation where they are throttled AND cannot buy a booster.

A self service that doesn't work. Iburst why am I not surprised.

They can keep it in maintenance mode all they want, but during such modes, the accounts should be uncapped/unthrottled. I don't see a single reason why customers should be inconvenienced over teething issues at iBurst. They had their glitches August last year, we let them have them. They had their glitches in December 09, we let them have them, now we see more glitches in Jan 09.

Phoning in is unacceptable. It costs time and money.

To all of you in need of a booster - I could transfer you some of my bandwidth from my account, like transferring airtime, but unfortunately guys, this option is not available. Wouldn't this be an excellent idea since I have more bandwidth than I could ever finish off for the rest of the month. Not sure how much I would forfeit on unused bandwidth / how much would be transferred to next month.

you can only carry over your full months bandwith to the next.
so if you on a 1 gig next month the most you can start of with is 2gigs
unless you bought a booster and then that gets carried over as well.

Thanks isie.

Data (Wireless) only gets carried over for 1 month now & not indefinitely like before the price drop.

I had about 8 GB's when I migrated to a lower package & I tried my best to use it all but I lost some of it.
