Durban - Two pit bull dogs attacked and bit two beachgoers at the Bluff on Friday, paramedics said.

The two women were attacked while walking along Sloane Road, Rescue Care spokesperson Ceron Lennox said.

They sustained "moderate bite wounds" to their legs.

One of the dogs was injured in a scuffle to get them off the women. The second one ran away.

The women were stabilised on the scene before being taken to hospital.

The injured dog was taken to a local vet.

Lack of details meh.
Stray dogs, owners etc?

The owner is of course civilly liable for the delicts of her animals. Those bitten should recover from her.

The owner of the animals should also be criminally charged, since her animals assaulted others.

It might even be more humane and civilised to put the dogs down. No civilised society can allow animals to attack members of the public.

How do you know the owner is female (are you reading a different news article)?

I don't. But using "he" or "him" would be just as much of an assumption, and "it" doesn't cut it. I'm using it as a generic pronoun. ;)

Pitbulls are not dangerous, it's just the owner blah blah blah.

Pitbull must be put to sleep immediately. There is no place in modern society for such idiotic behaviour in public. At the end of the day, somebody needs to be held accountable for this rubbish.

And that "Mr. Worldwide" tag line in all his songs is getting old now.
