Places to visit visit/avoid in PE?

Avoid Kings Beach. Water is brown.
Avoid Boardwalk. It’s weird.

Visit visit Blue Horizon Bay or Maitland Beach. They’re great. Just don’t get washed away by a rip current like a sissy.
I stayed in a hotel next to the BoardWalk earlier this year: the area isn't bad.
Actually the entire PE was far nicer than I remember in the 2010's -- *gasp* even cleaned up a bit. Generally wasn't a fan of the entire EC from my experiences in the 00's travelling around the country to all sorts of schools to install computer labs. The entire province just had an unfriendly, give me stuff and don't smile vibe.

Maybe I'm just older and less bothered. East London, however... nah... miss that. The drive from EL to PE was nice though and I can understand why certain places are retirement spots.

PE is my favourite summer holiday place. You can get to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world from there, and you can literally have a beach to yourself on Christmas or Boxing Day. But the hotels near Boardwalk make me feel like I'm on a business trip.

I've never been to EL, but my wife says the same thing as you.
