Plane on a treadmill

This is a stupid thread. Planes don't need exercise, who would pay to build a treadmill for one?

The SA government, if there was a chance of a kickback.

They might actually build one, in an effort to reinvent science and solve this whole plane dilemma once and for all.

its a thought experiment, like the massive hoo-haa we had about wheels and tires sizes and speedometer readings....

just like the monza thing....

80mph is faster in a truck than in a car because of reasons.

Whoosh.

Where is that thread about a car and a truck both going 120kph, I liked that one better.

dafaq is happening here? level of fail is strong.

/Drops another question. Say you driving in a car at 101km/h and you come up behind a truck going at 100km/h and the truck has a ramp thats trailing on the road. If you drive up onto the ramp will your car shoot forward and crash into the trucks cab or will the car stop?

Mythbusters "experiment" doesn't cut it in my opinion. It's very crude and doesn't make an effort to replicate real conveyor belt dynamics. Therefore, this remains "unproven" bar some small scale "experiments" done with toy planes (most of which are ridiculous in any case)

But will the plane take off? Most likely.
