From what I understand...its the municipalities that are really making the killing from the electricity prices. In CT we pay around R1.60 per Kw/h. From this Eskom receives around 50-60c. Electricity is one of the biggest revenue 'generators' for the municipalities. These are the institutions we must take to task for the high prices.
+1. I know for a fact the municipalities make around double (I have to check the exact figures) (it does differ from muni to muni). Sure, they do have to maintain the substations and so-forth, but they do make a killing out of it.
