Plasma redish sparkles when switched on???

Report say 100 000 hours which equates to 11 years if you leave it on all the time.

Maybe i should use this as a case of false advertising and claim a free replacement

I think the extra R100 or so per month far outweighs the 10K or more for new gear

its far less than that...maybe like R40 per month...my Rotel power amp stays on twenty four seven three sixty five....only the pre-amp goes on standby every night, but the power amp not!. I only pull the plug out the wall when we are on holiday for longer than 4 days...

Called a techie.+- R500 for upgrade and voltage adjustment. I hope thats all it needs.

It's Called Red or Green Snow. The Service manual refers to it as Mal Discharge. I have a Sony which does the same - adjusted the voltages - comes back after a while. The suggestion is to replace a board, which costs about R900 at Sony, with no guarantee that it will work. I shall not by Plasma again...
