Where can u buy plastic conduit in CT?
The square shaped stuff that comes in 2 halves that you can snap together around an existing cable?

Are there different ratings for this stuff, or can you run 220v cables in any of it?

Contact Cape Cables in Maitland. If they dont have it they'll point you in the right direction

Any electrical distributer should keep the stuff. It's all rated for 220V as that is generally what it is made for.

Ask them for Electrical Trunking, If you say conduit they will think you mean the round pipe. Most hardwares will have it, try a builders warehouse.

Always buy mine at Builders. Probably not the cheapest but ducting generally not expensive.

Excellent Corbin, Thats the stuff I need, Ducting. Can you walk over it without it getting mangled?
Thanks for the replies guys, will check out these places.

Do you want to cover cables running across the floor? is it on tiles or carpet?

With plastic trunking/ducting some will get mangled when stood on, the very thin trunking like 15 x 15 mm will stay solid, however the bigger like 40 x 40 will squash and pop open.

My advice is if you are running cables across the floor as there is no other way then rather tape them down with duct tape like they do at sound shows or get small angle or go to a flooring shop, they have those metal plates that go across door ways that have space inside for cables.

or run it up the wall across ceiling and down the wall again if you cant run it along skirting. its much longer but out of harms way at least . These plastic ones will not handle traffic well else go with D3x idea.
