If you need external validation for a very personal decision the surgery is the least of your concerns.

I know quite a few people who have gone and the "best" long term results have been for those who did it simply for themselves because they wanted to. Be it breast augmentation, lipo or face lifts. The change in confidence was amazing when the small thing that bothered the person personally was resolved.

The worst results though have been where the person was pressurized into doing it by family or a spouse.
