Hi there

I have a quick question that I cannot seem to find the answer to. If I buy a platinum branded game whilst my friend owns the normal (non-platinum branded) version, are these two games compatible to play on offline LAN?

Apart from the obvious branding difference, my assumption is that the content of the game is the same therefore the games can be LAN'd offline.

Is this correct?

EDIT: This is in respect of the PS3 console.

Hmmm not to be daft. But what are you on about?

Give an example of a game you are talking about.

For even further clarity - I know the meaning of a game being platinum. The question is restricted to whether there are any content/software differences.

An example of a game is Rainbow 6: Vegas 2. My friend owns the normal version and I want to buy the platinum version so that we can play offline LAN.

To me it sounds simple but I want to be 100% sure.

Difference between the two are price, that is it. The games are the same. Platinum version is to sell a game that is getting old at a good price.
