Play it! ITS HERE!!!

Any gamer worth his salt will know that Blizzard is the benchmark in terms of testing, balancing, patch support and quality.

They proved it with warcraft 2, starcraft, Diablo, Diablo II and wow ... hek even warcraft I was pretty good for its time.

Its easy to liken one episode of starcraft I with starcraft II but if you've got half a brain you would know that you are most probably paying for 150% game.
This game has had more testing and user feedback than any game I know of. Its should be pure genius from the get go - and that is a perception Blizzard created by themselves and they know it too.

All i am saying dont let cost hold you back from buying it. If you aren't willing to pay for quality then you probably wont pay for any game.
 
Just FYI

Supplier prices of the game is around R390 ex vat, so around R450 incl and the shops are making about R50 a game. Still kuk expensive because you will need to buy expansions for the other 2 races...

Rubbish. I've bought about 30 games in the last two years and have pirated and played two or three other games.

I draw the line at paying console prices for a PC game.

LOL... they goin to be releasing 3 games 1per race and this is a problem why? They 3 FULL games and there will be more gameplay in this then most games and anycase blizzard only release quality. Wow always love what ppl look to bitch about

Huge difference between R90 for 3 movies and R1500 for 3 games...

I do agree, this game is expensive, but it is well worth it though. Games are all expensive nowadays...

Still not understanding, since you're getting 3x content for 3x the price. My example was because you paid 3x for a trilogy, just the same as you buying 3 different games at that price.

The only thing that stops me from going out and buying starcraft 2 is the fact that there is no lan.And no local servers for online.Until that changes am not buying it single player only games i get bored of to quickly.

Yes, I used that analogy in order to knock some sense into you. Numerous interviews and discussion have said they they are adding 3x the amount of content into the entire trilogy. Now, would LotRs be as epic as it was, if it were a mere 3 hours?

I doubt it.

I would be on your side if they took a 10 hour game and split it into 3, but they haven't. Each expansion will be equal in length and just as long as Starcraft 1 was.

RoosTa, I have never ever managed to stay awake through the first LOTR episode that a friend lent to me, though I have tried a few times, so, you're really wasting your time trying to knock some sense into me, I simply will not hand over the first part of R1500 for a 3 part game that Blizzard are milking for every cent they can get, especially not using LOTR as an incentive.
 
I want it so bad!!! But I ordered mine via UK so it's being delivered to a friend (by 29th) then hopefully (ASAP) sent to me! :)

The crazy thing is they might not be that far off the mark with Price vs Preceived Value. Lots of people are going to go for it at 1.5k.
 
But are they 3 seperate games?
Or did they just develop the envirnoment and now you paying for the expansion basically each time which didn't take as long to develop. Reminds me too much of sims..
Do we need this one to play the next installments?
