I currently use a CellC mobile usb stick for internet and I'm looking at moving to a iBurst Playa5+ contract when the CellC expires. I checked my area for signal strength and it said Good VOIP. CellC on HSDPA is terrible for gaming however browsing is amazing and I'm wondering how iBurst speeds are for gaming and browsing?

I get latencys of 100+ and very unstable just playing warcraft3 on cpt servers so if its good for fps then I'm happy :)

Depends on your location signal strength and all..

I get anything from 100ms up normally but havnt tried with bf3 or mw3 yet

So true, but for comparison sake, if you get good signal with your 3G and good signal with iburst, you will be better of with iburst. Then again, depending on your location, there are better wireless alternatives.

I have been gaming with IBurst from 2007 since no copper here :( Was bad initially ,then improved with an Omni, then doubled with 2MB modem with Panel Antenna. There are a few bad days but i do well most of times on XBOX Live.Average around 80-130ms ping and .800mb/s - 1.5mb/s.

Pointing a panel at the tower helps allot. Ive put my 1mb desktop modem in the roof with a panel outside. Its been running like that since 2007

BF3: 80ms - 150ms on local servers

Seeing as I'm looking for internet (ADSL from Telkom not an option), would Playa5+ be a better option than the 8ta 10GB option for general browsing and light gaming?
