PlayerUnknown works on Amazon Web Services (Cloud) which isn't available in SA. Until such time as AWS is available in SA I wouldn't hold my breath.

Well, now that Azure is here, I won't be surprised if AWS considers entering the market sooner rather than later, before they get a monopoly. Then again, it's not a small investment, but it's not like they're short of money.

True, but if they do decide to offer the service, I doubt it will be in time for the launch of PUBG. So worst case scenario we will have to play on EU servers until such time. The only problem I see is that I heard rumours of Ping Lock being introduced in the game, that would kill it locally.
