Playing violent video games makes you aggressive

by this logic we car going to be over run by miners and construction workers in a couple of years

So by playing NON violent games you become more....calm? Rocket league doesnt calm me down at all!

I'm a violent sob. But it has nothing to do with games. More about the people I grew up with and where I grew up. I didn't even play PC games till around 16 or so. And then there was no violent games per se. Well not in relation to today's games. So I call bullshyte.

ADHD is a real illness like any chronic illness you need chronic medication.

Go pick on lung cancer the children need their ritalin so they will know more than just conspiracy theories.
 
This type of research is invariably so hugely flawed that an entire paper could be written on how poor it is. Doing a meta-analysis isn't going to help when the underlying research is consistently bad.
 
Strawman argument, is all this article is.
Humans are violent by nature, and it is worse depending on a myriad of factors.

Mmmm, how long have video games and movies been out for?
And how long have we been killing each other for?

Riiiiight... So, to cite one example... The Spaniards mauled the Incas, and the Incas mauled themselves, because their kids were playing on their laptops and tablets?

Had a good laugh, especially at the joke about the link between violence in video games and increased aggression in players being one of the most studied and best established in the field.
 
Why would you write an article like this and not link to the original research? It's a pointless exercise meant to get people up in arms and get a few cheap clicks without providing any useful insight.
 
Nonsense. The majority of games I play are violent. I love watching violent sports (MMA) I listen to very agressive music (metal) and I watch alot of violent movies, yet I am not an agressive person.
