PlayStation 5 - Everything we know so far

So assuming it's using the same custom RDNA2 GPU (I checked, seems it does), this is going to be slower than the Series X by quite a bit considering the Series X is [email protected]. That's not sounding good.

It's not even in the same galaxy as the Xbox Series X. The PS5 is a 2019 console that was delayed, and overboosted in the last few weeks to break the double digit TF range. It's spec was 9.x TF from the start.

Let's not forget about the ray tracing processors on the Series X as well (another 13 TF of shading performance).

Sony's SSD is good, I'll give them that but it's super proprietary which is going to be expensive at the beginning.

Yeah I read something about some Github leak or something showing it as originally being lower clocked. The PS5 should also have ray tracing if using the same GPU as the RTUs are part of the CUs.

Yes, that is quite a bit faster, but remember the PS4 was quite a bit faster than the Xbox One as well, by a larger percentage no less. And the games on the One were fine compared to the PS4.

I look forward to the DF comparison of the first games compared to the PS5 and Series X.

36 vs 52 CU ray tracing.

Also XSX is ready to roll off the production line and PS5 might be delayed till 2021, which is why it is tentative for Holiday 2020.

Yes of course. I thought you meant as if the PS5 wouldn't have or something. Wait, I thought both consoles were coming out more or less the same month. December?
