You got the order all wrong there

Maybe you dont understand the article. This has nothing to do with the playstation. It has to do with Cell tech that IBM are using. Unless of course you expect a playstation3 to have "12 960 of the Cell chips with 6 948 standard dual-core AMD Opteron chips and 80 terabytes of memory"?

Dont even argue that because it uses cell tech it's a playstation, thats just stupid.

if its better then y would ibm not use that out dated chip from the xbox360 for its roadrunner supercomputer??
xbox360 cpu = 3.2 GHz PowerPC with 3 dual-threaded processor cores - made by ibm is not????
ps3 cpu = 3.2 GHz Cell processor with 7 single-threaded synergistic processing units cores - made by ibm/sony/so other ppl
they know that the cell processor is alot better than then xbox360..thats prob y they used the cell instead.

coding to use/expliot the cell cpu is alot more complex and different than the regualr for the old cpu's..
thats what i read.

Yet the XBOX runs games faster and renders visually better. Dont know about anyone else here but I bought my console to run games, not build super computers or compare CPU stats. Proof is in the pudding.
