PlayStation TV on its way

The PS3/4 console itself is enough and covers all , unless this is aimed at those who don't want to go all the way to get a console

I've found the PS4 is severely lacking in the media playing department. No native Youtube app etc is a bit of a let down.

It is severely lacking compared to the PS3 which is why I haven't upgraded yet.

No way to justify spending that amount of money for reduced capability.

Yeah I got mine as a anniversary present from my wife. Was not really keen for one but I couldn't say no :D
 
It took a while before the ps3 was running at full media capabilities, it will be the same for the ps4...
 
This is actually not too bad, for all intensive purposes its a PSP Vita without the portability, considering the price point, its probably something that I will add to my Xmas wish list, the Vita has some good games on it, like the Persona series etc... the only problem with the Vita was the price.
 
i almost thought this was an oooooold website that came alive again... back from before the Playstation 2 was released :D
this is exactly what the PS3 and PS4 also does, so whats with the "Sony will debut a TV entertainment system that can play AV content and play games"?
I suppose its a cheaper, entry level, 'mass market' type device.
some companies clearly have lots of money... most other companies reduce products, and consolidate offerings, to save costs.
IMO it would be better to save up and get the PS3 or PS4, than buy a wannabe product, and be dissappointed that it doesn't offer what the real Playstation offers.
but theres always a market for entry level products that does only what the consumer at that price point wants

Should be on the way im sure as it matures, ps3 is boss with the DLNA netflix hulu bbc 4oD etc
 
I'm excited about PSVita TV ("Playstation TV") 'cos I only really play my Vita while I'm in bed, and being able to play my Vita games on the bedroom TV would be awesome. Plus I could use it as a bedroom media player. Plus I could maybe play my PS3 games remotely.

I'm also liking the way Sony are putting more effort into the Vita/TV.
