Hello

So I've been given a R5500 take alot voucher , and I need to buy a laptop.
My budget is R7500 so I'll put in the difference. Can't above that

I don't want anything fancy as it will just be for web browsing and some work like Excell word etc not gaming. I don't intend to dowload on it so want to keep the space free so it isn't slow.

I've been on take a lot but I see some are refurbished (which I won't buy) and some are fulfilled but a 3rd party.

Makes , processor? I3?
Would love a bundle like a laptop bag and a mouse but not that important

I've lost touch what good makes are.
Screen size 15.6 is ideal

Thanks in advance

So R7500 in total or R7500 + R5500 voucher?

Gonna be really tough at that price.

My wife just bought a chewi 10th gen i3, which looks quite nice, and she will also only use it as a netbook + ebook loader (caliber). Was the cheapest budget laptop that was not a celeron with 4gb memory and an HDD

Maybe there is something on carbonite???

I would try to go with something with at lease 500GB SSD (and min. 8GB ram).

Thanks yes this looks good. I like how it says what R12000 somehow doubt that.
I see it comes with windows 11 , yet one reviewer said he returned it beacuse it came with windows 10

She is. But her needs are basic. Nice thing is that so far it kind of feels like a premium device (it’s aluminum/magnesium I think)

Isnt that a mobile processor? So it's like a 14" smart phone?

ssd is relatively easy and cheap to upgrade, and I never recommended anything with less than 4gb (the first link is just a filter based on price, second is an example). I would say try get the best things you can't upgrade, like screen, cpu, dimm slots, etc, as those are for life. Ram (model dependent) and ssd can be upgraded later if needed.

Depends on the screen quality. a 15" 1366*768 is really sht to read on.
