Our concerns are that should one of us (or both) test positive for something, what happens?
Will we be allowed to go home to self isolate or will we be hauled off to a quarantine facility?

Going home is fine. Quarantine facility not so much.

Any advice? Would you risk it?

Yes, you are being completely over paranoid.

Unless you are repatriated from a specific hot-spot, they will not send you to a quarantine facility.

There are tens of thousands of active cases. Government does not have the resources or means to quarantine everyone in the country.

Well they got very aggressive with us for not having a mask on whilst driving.

I'm not taking any chances, Government is also now by law allowed to track people, I can see how political enemies are being rounded up.

Sure, they may abuse their powers, but I can guarantee you they are not going to pull you over and put you in quarantine.
